Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AIAdapter website, platform, APIs, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by AIAdapter ("AIAdapter", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, accessing the Services, or using an API key, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
1. The Services
AIAdapter provides a unified gateway that lets you send requests to multiple AI models and third-party AI service providers through one platform and API.
The Services may include account management, API access, usage metering, billing and credits, playgrounds, and related operational tools.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services, including particular models or providers, with or without notice where reasonably necessary for operational, legal, or security reasons.
2. Accounts and API Keys
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials and API keys confidential.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or API keys, including activity by persons you authorize.
Notify us promptly at help@aiadapter.com if you believe your account or keys have been compromised.
We may suspend or revoke access if we reasonably believe your account is being used in violation of these Terms or in a way that presents a security or abuse risk.
3. Acceptable Use
3.1 Permitted use
You may use the Services only in compliance with these Terms, our policies, and applicable law.
3.2 Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use the Services to violate applicable law or the rights of others;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or underlying systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services except as expressly authorized by us;
- Resell, share, or sublicense access in a manner that circumvents account, quota, or billing controls;
- Misrepresent the source of Outputs or conceal that content was generated using AI where disclosure is required; or
- Use the Services to develop a competing gateway by systematically scraping model catalogs, pricing, or non-public interfaces.
You must also comply with any additional acceptable-use, safety, or content rules of the third-party model or provider you invoke through the Services.
4. Inputs, Outputs, and Your Content
You may submit prompts, files, and other content ("Inputs"). Models may return text, images, code, audio, video, or other content ("Outputs").
You are responsible for Inputs you submit and for how you use Outputs, including obtaining any rights, consents, and notices required for the data you send.
As between you and AIAdapter, you retain any rights you have in your Inputs. Subject to the rights of third-party providers and applicable law, we grant you a right to use Outputs generated for you through the Services.
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You must independently evaluate Outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical use.
AIAdapter does not use customer Inputs or Outputs to train its own AI models unless otherwise disclosed to you or agreed with you.
5. Third-Party Models and Providers
Requests you send through the Services may be transmitted to third-party AI model providers and other subprocessors in order to generate Outputs and operate the Services.
Those providers have their own terms, privacy policies, logging, retention, and training practices. AIAdapter does not control those independent practices.
Availability, latency, quality, and pricing of a given model may change when the upstream provider changes its service.
Your use of a particular model may be subject to additional third-party terms. If you cannot accept those terms, do not use that model.
6. Fees, Credits, and Taxes
Paid features, credits, and usage charges are displayed in the Services at the time of purchase or consumption.
You authorize us and our payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for amounts you incur, including applicable taxes and any service or processing fees shown at checkout or in your account.
Credits and prepaid balances are not legal tender, are not transferable except as we expressly allow, and may expire if the Services state an expiry.
Unless required by law or we state otherwise, fees are non-refundable once the corresponding usage has been delivered or credits have been issued.
We may correct billing errors, adjust usage calculations, or suspend accounts with unpaid amounts.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including software, trademarks, documentation, and the AIAdapter name and marks, remain our property or that of our licensors.
These Terms do not grant you a right to copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services except as needed to use the documented APIs.
Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Services without obligation to you.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
You must not submit personal information of others through the Services unless you have a lawful basis and any required notices or consents.
9. Disclaimers
The Services and Outputs are provided "as is" and "as available."
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that Outputs will meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIAdapter and its affiliates, officers, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost business, arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to AIAdapter for the Services during the three months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify AIAdapter against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your Inputs, your use of Outputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time, subject to any outstanding fees.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued access presents a security, legal, or abuse risk.
Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by other reasonable means.
The updated Terms become effective on the date stated at the beginning of the updated Terms, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and AIAdapter regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale of assets.
Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13, or such higher minimum age as applicable law requires.
